Imago Dei Soccer’s Internship & Residency are an in depth experience in Sports Ministry. If you’re interested in seeing how soccer can be used to transform lives and being involved in that process, this is the experience for you!
Internships:
Short term (1 month - 1 semester) experience for people interested in soccer ministry
We offer summer internships as well as internships at other times of the year.
Residency:
12 month live-in training experience designed to prepare ministry minded athletes & coaches by providing the training and experience needed to function in sports ministry and to flourish in and for Christ wherever they are planted
During the residency, we hope, residents will grow spiritually and their time here will increase their vision, knowledge, & ability.
To accomplish this, residents will shadow an experienced sports minister in their day to day responsibilities, will study content specific teachings, and will engage practical ministry experiences; all within the confines of authentic community.
Summer Internship
Mid May - Early July
We desire to provide a well rounded experience of how to use soccer to share the gospel.
Areas of involvement:
Assist an experienced coach with our summer teams
Plan / coach camps
Be involved in refugee outreach
Provide behind the scenes support for all programs
Receive in depth ministry training and hands on experiences
Ability to focus in the following areas:
Communication / Marketing / Social Media
Inner-City/Refugee Ministry
Coaching / Summer Camps
Organization / Leadership
Expectations:
Raise $1,500 for your internship
