“This summer in the neighborhood has honestly just been such a huge blessing. We have been able to see the Lord so clearly at work. Our prayer for the neighborhood ministry this summer was that through the power of the Holy Spirit we would be able to effectively share the gospel with our friends in this place. God has led us incredibly in this, and we were able to share the gospel with many of our refugee friends whether that was through them coming to our Imago Dei camps or just through everyday conversation. The Holy Spirit has been so present in the neighborhood. Just this past week a grandma in the neighborhood had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital and one of the kids that we have been able to share the gospel with and has grown in discipleship gathered all of his friends to pray for this woman. It was amazing to see how the Spirit of God has been at work within him and the neighborhood. We are very grateful for the work the Lord is doing here and how He has graciously allowed us to join Him.”

“We can’t say enough great things about Imago Dei Soccer Academy! This has been a great opportunity for our daughter. The training sessions and team of coaches are exceptionally professional and we have been amazed with what she is learning, the confidence she has gained, and the results we see on the field. No matter what level your athlete is currently at they will take them to the next!”

“Not only has Imago Dei helped me excel exponentially as a soccer player, it has taught me how to thrive as a person. Imago Dei has taught me important soccer skills, but more importantly, that to achieve a goal, a lot of hard work is required. Every time you touch the pitch – in practice or in a match – try your best. Be confident and work hard at everything you do and you will enjoy success.”

“I started doing Imago Dei elementary school or early middle school. Imago Dei has aided me in developing the technical aspect of my game and taught me valuable life lessons. I owe a lot of what I have accomplished on the field to the invaluable lessons I learned on those Mondays. Without Imago Dei, I would not be the player or person I am today.”

“I want to thank you for making such a great impression on my daughter. She has been most excited this weekend and it’s great to see her loving to be there and not stop talking about it. You guys are doing a great job and it shows in my daughter and I’m sure in all the others.”

“The impact of the international tour to Colombia changed the trajectory of my life. The people and children of Medellin, Colombia left a lasting impression on me as well. It is amazing how a language barrier can be so easily broken down thanks to the game of soccer. I was shown Jesus through the Imago Dei team, the people of Colombia, and even the beautiful natural surroundings. Most importantly I learned: I am a broken human being, and a relationship with Jesus is the daily pursuit of the one who died on the cross for me despite my brokenness.”

“I have been playing soccer since I was 5 but never saw a greater purpose for it besides a game I loved. This trip showed me how I can use my soccer talents to connect with other people who speak a different language than me. Through soccer we can share God’s love and the gospel. Before this trip the idea of playing soccer to worship God never crossed my mind, I think that is such an awesome concept!”

“The more you give the happier you become. Colombia made me realize how blessed I am and how we shouldn’t take what we have for granted because these kids in Colombia will do anything to get what we have, and it made me realize there’s no greater love than the love of Jesus and also decided to give my life to Christ because of the love he has shown me and that I can trust Him no matter the situation I’m in.”

“Imago Dei helped me grow as a player technically and tactically. More importantly, Imago Dei has helped me understand how to connect soccer and my relationship with Christ. Imago Dei showed me that because I am made in the image of God, I should play to the best of my ability to glorify Him.”
